Why an antioxidant supplement?

Our antioxidant supplement is made of raw, powdered, organically-grown superfoods and a very small portion of a proprietary blend of minerals.

It has been estimated that each one of the trillion or so cells in your body receives about 10,000 hits by free radicals (reactive oxygen molecules) each and every day. Free radical damage is on the rise due to increased pollution, more stressful lifestyles, mineral-deficient diets, exposure to radiation due to flying and other causes, etc. Antioxidant supplementation has the power to boost our body's defenses especially when the antioxidants are of an extraordinary quality.

Our Blue Mangosteen Antioxidant product consists of two antioxidant-rich, specially-enhanced, organic superfoods: an ultra-pure algae extract and a revolutionary new form of mangosteen fruit (Garcinia mangostana) powder.

The rind of the mangosteen fruit (the same as we use in this product) is considered by those familiar with it to be perhaps the most formidable, natural, herbal healing substance on the whole of the Earth.

The key active ingredients in the mangosteen rind are a group of antioxidants called "xanthones." Thus far, at least 40 different xanthones have been identified in the mangosteen, each with a different array of healing properties. The three most well-studied mangosteen xanthones at this time are: alpha-mangostin, gamma-mangostin and garcinone E.

Catechin and other polyphenol antioxidants similar to those found in cacao beans are present in the mangosteen rind. Soothing polysaccharides similar to those found in aloe vera, noni and medicinal mushrooms are also found in the mangosteen rind.

Dr. Jim Duke's Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Database lists the researched health benefits of the mangosteen as well as many other plants. Dr. Duke's complete list contains 202 distinct pharmacological activities for the mangosteen plant. We cannot cite all of his findings here and we cannot state that mangosteen can cure, treat or prevent any illness, but the results of Dr. Duke's research and dozens of medical studies demonstrate the unique qualities of this wonderful plant.

To our product we have also added a unique proprietary blue-pigment spectrum extract of Klamath Blue-Green Algae (Aphanizomenon Flos-Aquae). This extract contains significant amounts of the health-enhancing, blue antioxidant, phycocyanin and the extract also contains mental-focus supporting phenylethylamines (PEA's). The rare, blue phycocyanin helps fight inflammation and it also helps the body to produce more rejuvenating stem cells. Research on the health-enhancing effects of phycocyanin may be found in the book: Primordial Food by Christian Drapeau, MSc.

Our proprietary concentrated mangosteen powder is specially processed to maximize assimilation and enhance the body's natural inflammation fighting response.
